Acupuncture Close Up

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment that involves the insertion of the sterilized, solid, and very thin metallic filiform (thread-like) needles which are made from stainless steel. The licensed acupuncturist practitioner will insert the needles into your body at different locations and depths with gentle and specific movements then the needles may be manipulated manually or stimulated with small electrical currents (electroacupuncture). Acupuncture works by stimulating the nervous system including releasing of endorphins, regulating of neurotransmitters, activating the specific nerve pathway, and creating an energy flow. The changes of biochemical may stimulate the body’s nature healing abilities and promote physical and mental health well-being. Acupuncture is an effectively common complementary therapy to help and manage in the treatment of pain relief, such as, pain low back pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder pain, osteoarthritis, knee pain, leg pain, and headache. Acupuncture is an effective treatment by itself or even better in combination with cuppings, infrared red-light therapy, and massage therapy.

Massage Therapy

Massage

Massage therapy is a part of integrative medicine and is used to help a heath condition or enhance wellness by promoting physical and mental health. Generally, massage therapy is a treatment provided by licensed massage therapist by pressing, rubbing, manipulating skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments to accomplish specific goals, such as, improving circulation, releasing muscle spasms, decreasing muscle stiffness, increasing the range of motion, reducing pain level, stress reduction and improving quality of sleep. Massage may range from light stroking to deep pressure. There are the different types of massage therapy including Swedish massage, aromatherapy massage, oil massage, hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point massage, reflexology, shiatsu or Tuina massage, Thai massage, Lymphatic draining massage, craniosacral massage, myofascial release massage. Even though there are many different types of massage therapy. but you may need a specific or a combination of each type, our massage therapist will help to tailor massage therapy for your personal needs and health conditions to promote the ultimate relaxation and rebalancing of the body and mind well-being.

Cupping

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine. The practitioner will place either glass or plastic cups on your back, stomach, arm, shoulder, hip, leg, or other parts of your body to create a suction inside the cups then the cups will pull your skin upwards. The cups will leave on your skin area with the suction for about 5 minutes. You may experience some skin tightness during the procedure. Because the suction inside the cups pulls the blood towards the surface of your skin, then after the cuppings you may have the temporary red or dark red, and round marks that should slowly fade away in about a few days or a week or two weeks. Cupping therapy helps to promote the circulation of blood to specific areas of the body and increase the body’s nature healing response to those areas.
